Individual and Group Counselling

Counselling is the cornerstone of the Harvest House recovery model. Each resident is paired with a dedicated counsellor who helps them develop a personalized treatment plan. Through weekly one-on-one sessions, residents explore the root causes of their addiction, set short- and long-term goals, and receive guidance on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and reintegration planning. Counsellors also assist with navigating legal, medical, and social services.

Group counselling, including Personal Development (PD) meetings, fosters peer support and accountability. Residents are encouraged to share openly, receive feedback, and support one another’s growth. These sessions cultivate honesty, emotional intelligence, and a sense of belonging.

Counselling at Harvest House is not just about sobriety—it’s about transformation. It helps residents confront their past, understand their behaviours, and build the emotional resilience needed for a sober, fulfilling life.
