The vast majority of clientele come to the program without having ever received a high school diploma. Since 2006, 73 men have taken the GED course at Harvest House. This course is taught by volunteer teachers and is intended to prepare the residents for the final GED test that will earn them a high school diploma. At this time, 30 of the 73 residents have received their high school diplomas. The majority of these residents have gone on to graduate the Harvest House program and pursue post-secondary education at Carleton University, Ottawa University, Algonquin College, etc.
